GLORIA STEINEM SPEAKS AT WILLIAM PATERSON UNIVERSITY

-States Republican Party is controlled by the Taliban

-Freedom of Speech shut down on campus

On Friday May 4th, Gloria Steinem spoke to a largely pro same -sex -marriage and pro-abortion group at William Paterson University in Wayne, NJ. The auditorium was full to capacity and included a handful of teaparty goers and right- to -lifers who were there to oppose and assess her opinions. She came as a part of the “Distinguished Lecture Series,” and talked about the feminist movement of the last half of the 20th century. The title of the speech was called, “The Progression of Feminism; Where are We Going.” The event began with an introduction from President Kathleen Waldron of the University followed by guest speaker the Honorable Loretta Weinberg, Senator from the 37nth Legislative District of the NJ State Legislature. The senator to state, “ If you think for a moment that after decades of advocating on behalf of women, the message has dulled, and no longer applies to current stipple that women say, think again! Anyone who follows politics today knows that the rights we fought so long and hard for are in a constant state of jeopardy. Some of our elected officials are staging a “War on Women, unless you get active and fight back, you can expect your rights to be eroded one by one.”(Honorable Loretta Weinberg)

Gloria began her speak entertainingly stating that the only way women got into high political office was to marry a man in that position and then wit until he died. That was true back then. Today women can get into high political positions without a man. In essence, Gloria’s job is done right? Not so! She then went on to say that women receive two million dollars less in their pay over the span of a lifetime then men do because of unequal pay. That may also be true. However, women get to take time off for other benefits then men do not get like maternity. OH GLORIA! HMM, you didn’t mention that. In her next point, she brought up the social movements. She mentioned the civil rights groups, gay and lesbian, women’s movement and a few others but not the teaparty! So I, you writer will edit that part and say civil rights, gay and lesbian, women’s groups, and teaparty. The civil rights groups, gay and lesbian groups and women’s groups have made their issues the majority through propaganda and indoctrination. She states that today, there is a backlash against these movements due to people born in the 70’s, who through no fault of their own were raised into thinking that there is a national hierarchy both within the family and society and that all of these people are linked. So in other words, they all stick together. In other words, did you ever hear of birds of a feather flock together? According to Gloria, they stick together and are indoctrinated into thinking that the family is patriarchal and run by the father. Throughout her speech, she blames social problems on the patriarchy and social dominance of the male. She never once gave men the credit for anything like the fact that she wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for her father! OH GLORIA!

In talking about social change and resistors of it, Gloria discusses two steps. The first step in resisting social change is to say that we don’t need it, it is against nature, God, Freud, and whatever. Apparently, people like Gloria are never happy with what they have. Because, to be happy means that there isn’t a will to change anything. People who aren’t happy with what they have, I call “PERSONALITY CHANGE DISORDER.” According to Doreen’s DSM (Diagnostic Statistic Manual for Psychiatric Disorders) you must have 4 of the 5 characteristics to suffer from this disorder: 1. You constantly sit around and blame (particularly the white male) others for your problems. 2. You feel the sudden urge to enforce your opinions onto others whether they agree or not. 3. You refuse to accept other opinions let alone hear them. When someone tells you their opinion or you to shut up, you put your hands over your ears. 4. When someone else is happy, you sit around stewing thinking of ways and schemes to destroy their lives. 5. You have the need for power. When someone else has it, you simply want to take it away.      Gloria mentions that the second stage of resistance happens when people say, “Well it used to be necessary but not anymore.” I would like to say, “To Gloria- when a job is complete, it should be over! “

The theme of Patriarchy and blaming the men consisted throughout her speech. She states the following;

• “ There are way more differences between two people of the same race then there are two races;

• There are way more differences between two women and two men than between males and females;

• Through various forms of patriarchy, we are going to force women to choose to have more children then they want to have;

• We are going to develop the cult of masculinity, impose the idea of dominance, and the cult of femininity to promote the idea of obedience; • Cult of masculinity and femininity eroticizes domination;

• Children are eroticized if men can’t get the degree of domination they want from adult women;

• Women’s issues have been divided over party lines with the Republican Party being controlled by the Taliban and they can’t be pro choice. “

Unto these statements I rebut this: Yes, that women can have the right to choose, but forcing them to choose is another. Forcing them to choose leads to a decline in birthrate amongst certain ethnic groups which can lead to a shift in power, in some cases effect quality of life. To further the issue, “When is masculinity and femininity a cult? “ Webster’s dictionary states, “A cult is a system of religious beliefs.” Let’s not forget Mother Nature. Men and women’s bodies are designed differently for a purpose. The purpose is for ment to be attracted to women to reproduce amongst other things. This is what is natural, not a cult. To further the debate, how is the Republican Party controlled by the Taliban. To read about the Taliban go here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Taliban. If you know a Republican that fits the description call the campusteaparty right away! Do not forget the pro-choice issue and the famous Roe B. Versus Wade 1973 case before the sonogram was invented! The end of the event concluded with perhaps, “staged questioning.” Come time for the questions, a group of people immediately got up behind the two microphones that were there. Security stood behind each line. When pussycat teaparty Doreen got I up to ask a question security said, “There will be no more questioning.” So I sat down. But then another man got up and was able to ask his question. HMM! To read about Gloria’s life you can download the PDF by clicking here: gloria steinem pdf

  2. Did anyone ask what the women’s movement was doing to prevent Sharia Law in the United States? It amazes me how the left is sometimes aligned with these groups.

    Did anyone hear Senator Loretta Weinberg say that our elected officials are staging a “war on women?” Is this an imaginary war staged by our elected officials?
